CU Quiz and Clara NS
We place a great emphasis on general knowledge in the school and compete every January in the local St. Canice’s Credit Union Quizzes.

We hold our own internal quiz to determine who represents the school U-11 and U-13 quiz teams. Those who make the team then prepare diligently for the St. Canice’s C.U. quiz. We have had great enjoyment and success over the last number of years.
We won the U-11 Competition in 2004, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2020 while we were victorious at U-13 level in 2006, 2016, 2017, 2018 .
Many of the teams above went on to qualify for the All Ireland Finals in the R.D.S. where up to 100 teams compete for the National titles.
At U-13 level we finished 4th in 2006, 3rd in 2015 and we were runners up in 2018.
